History of Unani System of Medicine
The Unani System of Medicine is originated in Greece(Unan in Arabic).
• Hippocrates-Father of Medicine-5th Century BC gave scientific form & recognition to Greek Medicine. He introduce the theory of Humors to the world
The four Humors are:
1.Dum(Blood)
2.Balgham (Phelgm)
3.Safra (yellow bile)
4.Sauda (Black bile)
When all the four Humors remain in equilibrium, a person remains healthy, when they are not disease sets in.

LIKE ALL OTHER DISEASES ITS ETIOLOGY HAS BEEN ATTRIBUTED TO THE COMBUSTION AND IMBALANCE OF CERTAIN HUMER IN THE BODY.
